This mill stands on land that has been used for milling since the middle of the 16th century, by the 1850s Armley mills had become the largest mill in the world. The working conditions were harsh and cruel. There were no regulations for the children and adults who were put to work here so they were freely treated in a barbaric and malicious manner with no accountability to anybody.
There are many areas for investigation at these mills. There have been so many sightings in many places, from children to sinister male figures. Screams have been heard by many and the machinery has actually turned itself on during an investigation here.
Often people have claimed to have been touched by dis-incarnate hands while others have had ghost hunting equipment snatched out of their hands by mysterious forces. Whatever your beliefs this is
going to be a night to remember!
This grand old building originally built in 1864, is built over a 15th century
religious settlement which suffered at the hands of Henry the VIII reforms.
Much of the cellar area has its original features dating back to these times.
Over the years Knottingley Town Hall has gained an infamous reputation as being extremely haunted due to the numerous and ongoing reports of strange activity and unexplained ghostly sightings. Committee member Anne Holland told us "Something is definitely going on here and investigations from paranormal organisations only seem to be making it worse. People tell us all sorts of things they have seen and experienced and I don't like being here on my own. Our dance teacher told us only recently that she was in the building alone when she heard heavy clomping footsteps walking in the area above."
Activity that has been recorded ...
•Glasses from the bar suddenly smash onto the floor when no-one is in area
•Sightings of a fog like mist
•Figures of two ladies dressed in dark clothing seen walking down a corridor who disappeared when approached by member of staff
•Apparition of a small child seen throughout building
•Dramatic temperature drops and sounds of heavy breathing
•Figure of former staff member named Annie who passed away some years witnessed on CCTV
•Voices and murmuring and loud footsteps heard when no-one in building
•Table moved unaided when no-one in vicinity

Bolling Hall is one of the most interesting historic houses in Yorkshire. Perched overlooking the city of Bradford,Bolling Hall has a rich history. In fact the first known reference to the manor of Bolling was in the Doomsday Book compiled in 1086.
With parts of the building dating from the Medieval Times,Bolling Hall is a rambling mixture of styles with every nook and cranny packed with history. Bolling Hall is the most famous haunted building in Bradford and even recently appeared on Living TV’s Most Haunted.
The ghosts of the Hall date from various historical backgrounds but are famous for being active. There are over 20 reported sightings and incidents of paranormal activity and we believe it’s a night not to be missed!
In the past some of the things reported include the sound of a baby crying has been heard all around the hall and ladies' voices are heard.
The staff like the "Blue Room" the least - people have experienced the feelings as if you are being watched, and a man with long coats tails has been seen by the fireplace in here.
